Videojet Laser 7510 for mapping on plastic packaging
Thursday, September 10, 2015Description :

This new 7510 laser allows marking on plastic packaging, metal containers and other industrial products more quickly and with greater content.

This laser marking system is ideal for coding data such as expiration dates, batch numbers and other essential information related to production on solid materials, including plastics such as high density polyethylene (HDPE) Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP) and nylon, as well as metals such as aluminum and stainless steel.

For substrates such as aluminum and extruded plastics, the new 50-watt fiber laser is 65-95% faster than the 20-watt model on short-spacing applications, providing all the benefits of Fiber laser marking to a whole new set of faster, more content-rich marking applications. Pharmaceutical companies can achieve coding speeds up to 50% faster on blister packs and twice as high on vials compared to 20-watt fiber lasers.

Besides its speed, the 7510 laser has an exceptionally large marking field (up to 498 millimeters long), which offers more time to process a moving product in order to obtain the desired mark.

In addition to higher line rates, the 50-watt fiber laser provides a higher quality beam than Nd: YAG lasers, allowing it to operate faster than traditional, more powerful semiconductor lasers .

This laser marking system is also read compact than its predecessor. 74% more compact than the 100 watt Nd: YAG laser marking unit, the 7510 laser significantly facilitates its integration with equipment and packaging lines. The number of working distances available (from 122 to 543 mm) allows operators to ignore the physical limits of the packaging line. This asset, as well as the ability to choose between a straight or 90 ° orientation of the marking head, offers more flexibility on production lines where space is limited.
